In a recent episode of **The Ed Bernstein Show**, I sat down with Ed to talk about my journey from a teenage car lover to the founder of **Vegas Auto Gallery**. Growing up in Canada during the 1980s recession, I bought and sold cars while still in school and learned the basics of business from my mother, Sherin Dossa, who was then a top-ranked Realtor. When illness brought my family to Las Vegas, I noticed that the city’s luxury car market offered “not really many choices for the locals.” That realization sparked the idea that became Vegas Auto Gallery.
Growing up with a love for cars
I’ve always been passionate about automobiles. In Canada I earned a business degree and honed my skills by trading vehicles through classified ads and pay-phones. My father passed away when I was young, but my mother’s resilience taught me the importance of hard work and family values. *“You started selling cars as a teenager?”* Ed asked during our conversation, surprised at how early the bug bit me. Yes – and those early deals taught me that relationships and trust matter just as much as the vehicles themselves.
## Spotting a market gap in Las Vegas
When my mother’s illness prompted our move to Las Vegas, I quickly saw that the local high-end car market lacked competition and customer choice. As I told Ed, the market was monopolistic; there were few luxury dealers offering personalized service. That gap inspired me to create a dealership where people could feel at home while shopping for exotic and luxury vehicles.
Ed pressed me on why I believed I could succeed in such a niche business. *“What made you think you could build something different in Las Vegas?”* he asked. I replied that my experience in high-line vehicle sales and my drive to deliver concierge-level service gave me the confidence to fill the void. With a clear goal and the support of my family, we launched Vegas Auto Gallery.
## Building Vegas Auto Gallery
We started in a **4 000 sq-ft warehouse** and grew into **two showrooms totaling over 50 000 sq ft**, including a flagship facility that houses more than **300 vehicles** and art pieces by Elena Bulatova. Our inventory features brands like **Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin**, and we’ve sold more than **380 Lamborghinis** locally. I told Ed that my team’s dedication – especially my brother Reese, who serves as Chief Strategy Officer – has been crucial to this growth. We even pioneered the acceptance of Bitcoin payments, which now account for about **3–5 % of revenue**.
## Teamwork, family and values
Family is at the heart of everything I do. I’m grateful to my wife, Selcen Kavr-Dossa, and to my brother Reese for supporting this journey. Our dealership treats every visitor like a VIP, and we pride ourselves on building genuine relationships. That concierge-level approach has attracted celebrities, professional athletes and international buyers.
During the interview, Ed observed, *“Your success seems to be about more than just selling cars.”* He’s right. I explained that we’ve become ambassadors for Las Vegas: partnering with the **Vegas Golden Knights**, **Dana White’s Power Slap** and other major manufacturers. We also support charitable causes and host high-profile charity auctions. Giving back to the community is just as important as growing the business.
## Looking ahead
The Ed Bernstein conversation reminded me how far we’ve come. From a small warehouse to the largest indoor luxury showroom in Las Vegas, we’ve stayed focused on quality, passion and teamwork. We continue to expand – recently acquiring and rebranding **Johnny Legends** as **Las Vegas Mitsubishi** – and we’re exploring new ventures like authorized dealerships for **Lotus, Czinger and Vintage Modern**.
I ended the show by sharing a simple message for aspiring entrepreneurs: follow your passion, surround yourself with good people and look for opportunities where others see limitations. As Ed summed it up, *“It’s about vision, hard work and heart.”* That blend of vision, hard work and heart continues to guide me and the entire Vegas Auto Gallery family.
