Bugattis and Billionaires: My Story on Escaping the Drift

One of the most fun conversations I’ve had about this business was on Escaping the Drift with John Gafford, in an episode they titled “Bugattis and Billionaires.” We talked about the whole arc — from selling a beat-up RX-7 as a kid to building a dealership that caters to billionaires — and what it really takes to scale a luxury brand.

From an RX-7 to the rarest cars on earth

I tell this story a lot because it’s true: the principles that let me flip a used car as a teenager in Canada are the same ones that run Vegas Auto Gallery today. Know the product better than anyone. Be straight with people. Treat the relationship as worth more than the transaction. My mother, Sherin Dossa — a top-ranked Realtor — drilled that into me before I ever sold my first car.

Selling to billionaires is about trust, not price

When your clientele can buy literally anything, money stops being the point. What they’re really buying is confidence — that the car is right, that the deal is honest, that the people behind it will still be there next year. That’s why we built the business around concierge-level service and an open-door policy. It’s also why so much of our growth has come from repeat clients and referrals rather than advertising.

Scaling without losing the soul of it

On the show we dug into the hard part: how do you grow from a 4,000-square-foot warehouse to a 47,000-square-foot flagship without turning into the impersonal mega-dealer you set out to replace? My answer is culture and family. My brother Reese runs strategy, our team is trained on the experience first, and we’d rather match a client to the right car than push the most expensive one on the floor.
