Inside Vegas Auto Gallery: My Dealer Principal Story (EP21)

I sat down with Living Large Las Vegas for Episode 21 of their series to talk about what it really takes to run an exotic car business in the entertainment capital of the world. We covered the origin of Vegas Auto Gallery, the role of a dealer principal, and why Las Vegas turned out to be the perfect city for the concept.

What a dealer principal actually does

A lot of people hear “dealer principal” and picture someone behind a desk signing paperwork. In reality, my job is to set the standard for the entire experience — from the cars we choose to acquire, to the way a client is greeted at the door, to the relationships we keep long after the sale. I’m involved because the brand is the experience. That’s a lesson I learned early, buying and selling cars as a teenager in Canada with nothing but a beeper and a pay phone.

Why Las Vegas

When my family moved to Las Vegas, I noticed the local high-end car market was essentially monopolistic. As I’ve put it before, there were “not really many choices for the locals,” and prices weren’t competitive. That gap was the whole opportunity. I knew that if we led with service and selection instead of pressure, we could build something the city didn’t have. You can read the longer version of that story on my About page and in our company timeline.

Building a team and a culture

None of this is a solo act. My brother Reese serves as our Chief Strategy Officer, and our whole family is woven into the business — something I credit my mother, Sherin Dossa, a top-ranked Realtor, for instilling in us. We’ve grown from a single 4,000-square-foot warehouse into two showrooms totaling more than 50,000 square feet, including our 47,000-square-foot flagship.

Innovating ahead of the market

In the EP21 conversation I also talked about staying ahead — like being one of the first dealers to accept Bitcoin, which now accounts for a meaningful share of our revenue, and expanding into new franchises like Lotus, Czinger and Vintage Modern. We even acquired and rebranded a local dealership as Las Vegas Mitsubishi.
